Materials and R-values.

We install any R-value, for any insulation type, based on what you ask for and what we recommend at the free inspection. It depends on the area: thicker in the attic, thinner in the crawl space.

Cellulose is blown across the attic floor in an even layer, to the depth that gives the R-value you choose.

  • R-38most common in the attic
  • R-19most common in the crawl space, under the floor
  • R-13to R-15, most common in walls

Questions, answered.

How is cellulose insulation priced?

It depends on the size of the attic and whether old insulation has to come out first. We price it after the free inspection, and you get a written quote the same day as the free inspection. $300 off any job over $2,000, or 10% off for seniors, expecting moms, veterans or multiple services (one discount per job).

Do you remove the old insulation first?

Yes, when it is soiled, flattened or damaged. The removal is listed on your written quote, so you see it before you decide.

Is this blown-in fiberglass?

No. The blown-in insulation we install is cellulose. We also install batt insulation where batts are the better fit.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Rodent proofing comes with a warranty, written on your invoice.

How long does a cellulose insulation job take?

It is a one-day job.

What R-value do you install?

Any R-value you ask for. We recommend one at the free inspection, based on your attic. The most common in attics is R-38.

How do you protect my home on job day?

The crew covers the path from your front door to the work areas with drop cloths or plastic sheeting: the floors, and some walls where needed. Old material and debris go out with us.

Can I add other services to the same job?

Yes. Rodent proofing, a radiant barrier or attic cleaning can all go on the same written quote. One free inspection covers everything, and two or more services get 10% off (one discount per job).

How soon do I get the quote?

Usually within 30–60 minutes of the free inspection, and the same day at the latest. The written quote lists every item, so you can compare it line by line.

Do I need to be home on the job day?

Yes, please be home. It also helps to clear the path to the work areas of breakable items, like pictures and vases.
