Why mesh, not foam.

Foam is soft, so we don't use it. Every gap is closed with galvanized steel mesh, putty and concrete.

The CDC notes that a mouse can fit through a hole the width of a pencil, about 1/4 inch, so we seal the small gaps too, not only the big ones.

Questions, answered.

Do you use poison?

No. We seal the ways in with galvanized steel mesh, putty and concrete, and set snap traps for rats and mice. No poison.

What about raccoons, squirrels, opossums or skunks?

We seal the openings and set live traps for larger animals.

How is rodent proofing priced?

Every home is different, so we price it after the free inspection, with a written quote the same day as the free inspection. $300 off any job over $2,000, or 10% off for seniors, expecting moms, veterans or multiple services (one discount per job).

Will I still hear noises after the job?

Some noise right after the job can be normal: rodents already inside are looking for a way out, and the traps catch them. We come back at least two weeks after the job to check the traps.

Which animals do you keep out?

Rats, mice, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, opossums and bats.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Rodent proofing comes with a warranty, written on your invoice. The office can walk you through what it covers.

How long does rodent proofing take?

Up to half a day when no insulation needs replacing. With insulation replacement, it is a one-day job.

Do you seal the garage and crawl space too?

Yes. We check and seal the attic, crawl space, garage and the openings outside, all on one written quote.

Do you clean up the droppings?

Attic and crawl space cleaning can be added to the same job: droppings, nests and soiled insulation come out, and the area is sanitized. Two or more services get 10% off (one discount per job).

How do you protect my home on job day?

The crew covers the path from your front door to the work areas with drop cloths or plastic sheeting: the floors, and some walls where needed. Old material and debris go out with us.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. AttiCali EcoShield is licensed, insured and bonded. California contractor license #1149346 (C-2 Insulation, C-20 HVAC).

How soon do I get the quote?

Usually within 30–60 minutes of the free inspection, and the same day at the latest. The written quote lists every item, so you can compare it line by line.

Do I need to be home on the job day?

Yes, please be home. It also helps to clear the path to the work areas of breakable items, like pictures and vases.
